While our friends down south celebrated Thanksgiving with stuffed turkeys the MX101 / FXR / Yamaha team was busy north of the border stuffing podiums.  This weekends double header was in a much larger arena than the first round, allowing for higher speeds and more of a raceable layout.  Over the two nights of racing, each night features main events in both the Pro Lites and Open Pro and the ever-popular head to head bracket racing for winner take all Dash for Cash.

The teammates along with Cycle North / Shift racing Carson Brown were the class of the field both nights putting on a show every time the gate dropped.  The bLU cRU won 3 of the 4 main events and Pettis swept both Dash for Cash nights.   In fact the only podium missed was by Maffenbeier on the last final where he and Carson came together and both riders ended up on the ground.   With Pettis gone out front both Maffenbeier and Carson put their heads down and charged.  The ride even though both riders missed the podium had event announcer Ryan Gauld in a frenzy who tweeted after the race ”Mad, like the maddest of mad respect to MAFF and Brown in that race. They both could have been pissed at wrote that off but they hammered back. That’s the racing I like”.

The series returns to Chilliwack again this coming weekend for rounds 5 and 6 before heading into the Christmas break.   Pettis and Maffenbeier look to once again own the box!

Thanks to all our sponsors for enabling the guys to keep racing and improving.  Pettis plans on using the break to race the West Coast SX so we will all have someone to cheer for at A1.
