How the West was Won….. The final round of the Western swing took place outside of Winnipeg MB in Minnedosa. The setting was perfect, the track was mint and the weather a moto dream. Qualifying top time was set by Jess Pettis with Marco locking down 6th and Hayden in 8th Moto 1 saw Pettis quietly making his way to the front from a 5th place start. By half way through the moto Jess had made a pass for the lead and pulled out to a 10 sec lead by the time the checkers waived. Marco had been battling around 5th all moto and a last lap pass would give him 4th for moto 1. Moto 2 again saw Pettis in the hunt running with the leaders. Cannella and Halstead had a bit more work to do as they rounded just inside the top 10. Pettis struggled to find his flow and had settled for a third until late in the moto Honda mounted Dylan Wright would suffer a mechanical handing Jess 2nd in the moto and the overall for the day. Both Cannella and Halstead moved forward all moto as Marco would take 4th and Hayden 7th.
