Good to be Home…. Well this past weekend saw double duty pulled as we were the host facility to the race as well as trying to win the event. The weather leading to it was described as nothing short of melting, that would test everyone. Race day saw a small break in the humidity that all were appreciative of. Moto 1 saw an awkward start as the #12 Honda mounted Dylan Wright got the “jump” on the field leaving before the gate dropped. As the dust settled we sat Marco 4th, Hayden 5th and Jess 15th. Early on Marco and Hayden would battle hard for a podium finish while Jess would suffer a mechanical and forced back to the pits. As the laps ran down the finish would be 5th for Halstead a season high and a 7th for Marco who struggled to find the flow. Moto 2 would see a change for the better as Pettis and Cannella would run top 5 early on. Halstead suffering from his first bad start would round lap one in 15th. Pettis would make short work of going to the front and would lead from early and end the moto with a 10 second lead. Marco would ride consistent to a 6th and Hayden passed all moto long to climb as high as 7th. The day would see Halstead have his best overall leading the team with 5th, Marco would be 6th and Pettis 11th.
