Round 2 of the arenacross portion of the Rockstar Triple Crown kicked off in Calgary this past weekend.  A great track design and good-looking dirt greeted the teams to one of the best indoor facilities that we visit on the tour.

The boys were ready to show that the offseason training and testing was on point as round 1 was far from a typical indoor race.  Right from the first lap Luke would assert himself as the class of the field through the tough whoops setting the fastest time of the day to take top qualifier in the 250 Pro class.   Marco would quietly put together sections of the track and finished with the 5th fastest time heading to the night show.

Both guys would be lined up in the same heat looking for the top 2 spots to get into the cash for clash for extra points.  Last weeks winner and red plate holder Ryder Floyd would lead the heat with Luke close in tow the entire 7 laps.   Marco was in his own battle with Brad Nauditt for 3rd.   Luke looking for a place to pass on the white flag dove inside Floyd before the finish, Floyd not letting up in the battle for the win resulted in the two coming together and going down.   Luke would be the first to remount and take the win in the heat.   Marco would come home 4th.

The main event would give the crowd plenty of action to stand up and cheer for.   Early on lap 1 both guys were near the front until a crash by Tyler Medaglia would leave Luke nowhere to go and ended up getting tangled and losing precious time and spots.   Marco would set his sights on the front running 4th.   Tyler would remount with Luke behind as they tried to make up time and spots.  Unfortunately, Tyler would go down again and take Luke with him for a second time.   The two podium guys from last week would now go a lap down in the craziness that is AX racing.  Meanwhile Marco made a couple of key passes to move himself in too second.  Luke who put in the fastest lap of the main would only be able to make it back up to 5th as the checkers flew after his altercations.

The craziness would continue after the race as the points were tabulated giving Marco the red plate heading east.  Upon further review it was revealed that the points were incorrect for Dylan Wright from Round 1 were he was given 2 points less than he should have received.   With these two points it would move him to the lead of the chase and the red plate heading to the last 2 rounds by a single point.

We are positioned well with both riders in striking position of the title half way through the series.  With a weekend off the guys will work on what was learned so far and come in ready to bring our first win of the year in Sarnia April 27th.
